No one is sure where Tom Brevoort’s face ends and his beard begins. But that doesn’t stop him from editing a bunch of books with the word “Avengers” in their title.
I asked him four goddamn questions.
NATE: Favorite Christopher Nolan movie?
TOM: Probably Memento.
NATE: Follow any sports?
TOM: Not really, not at all. The closest I come is the occasional documentary or retrospective program I might watch on the Brooklyn Dodgers, the “Murderer’s Row” Yankees or the Miracle Mets.
NATE: Design your favorite burger. Bread, meat, condiments, everything.
TOM: I’m a simple man, with simple burger needs. Bun, burger, cheese (American, most typically), possibly a squirt of ketchup, and that’s about it. Depending on how flavorful the meat is, might not even need the ketchup.
NATE: Uncanny X-Men. 5 members. Your dream team?
TOM: At the Baltimore show over the weekend, I picked up a copy of UNCANNY X-MEN #95, right at the start of the All-New, All-Different era, which is when I started reading it. So that’s really my era of X-Men, and some combination of that iteration of Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Banshee, and Phoenix works best for me.
